#BackNDaDaysReunion

Happy Sunday Sis….

I want to share sights and memories of the BackNDaDays Reunion party with you and our readers. It held yesterday (Saturday, 15th October, 2016) after much planning, back and forth discussions on dates.

The BackNDaDays group is a combination of both male and female friends from all walks of life. Idowu whom you know, Lekan and Ladi were the pioneers of forming the group on Whatsapp. These group of friends have known one another for a very long time, grew up together in the same neighbourhood, Surulere to be precise, so they know one another so well.

As a friend of Idowu, she introduced me to these wonderful people when we became friends like seven years ago and they accepted me as one of them. We usually hang out for drinks, parties, events, watch football together (quite a number of them are Arsenal Football Club fans, made us really clicked well..lolz😆) and just generally have a good time together.

In the course of the years, we didn’t get to see as often as possible, as life coast drifted us all into different directions. A number of them got married, moved to another location, and we get to see when one of us want to get married, dedicate children, celebrate birthdays and what have you. Have not seen some of them in years.

This necessitated the reunion where we could all see ourselves in one gathering.

The reunion took place at LaCampagne Tropicana (we should visit there when next you visit Naija) in Ibeju-Lekki. A fun place to be, with a warm welcome from the staff, adequate security unlike other beach resorts that is overcrowded, dirty and plain annoying. Infact, I lost my phone, had to retrace my steps with my friend, Simi, and luckily enough, we found it…that wouldn’t have been possible if it were one of those beaches I don’t want to name.

It was a wonderful experience, so much to eat and drink, we also played some games, gisted, laughed and really had a good time. So glad to have such interesting friends like Idowu, Simi, Lèkan, Gbolly, Ladi MJ, Wale, Michael, Dapo, Ese, Ada, Smiggle, Deji, Wole, and a host of them who are always there for you even with the distance and other engagements they have that keep us apart, thank you so much guys, glad to be a part of you all. I’m looking forward to this becoming an annual event, fingers crossed. 😊

Check out some sights at the event..

Tee..
