Last week was a bit of fun and the never-ending-musing of a dear country.
You guys over there celebrated 4th of July, Independence Day for the US of A…over here, we had 3 days work free to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, a.k.a. Sallah. In between those days, was battling to correct some defective mechanisms in my car, phew!
Got a free invite during the week to attend a wedding exposition organised by Sugar Rush Weddings and Parties, which I attended with a friend on Sunday, at Intercontinental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
As a curious mind who likes wedding/events, I just wanted to have better knowldge of such exposition. The compère was the delectable and funny lady, Chioma Omeruah, otherwise known as Chigurl.
It was not what I expected really, we were not really treated well save for the VIP guests that were treated to champagne…not that I’m complaining, just felt if we were to pay to attend before enjoying little treats, we should have been informed. The thrill for me was Chigurl and the band that performed.
Anyway, we didn’t stay long, so I could not interview people or get detailed information from the organisers. I saw Mrs. Adesuwa Onyenokwe (she is a veteran journalist and I love her to bits ) and alas, could not get some moments with her. Oh well!!
All in all, not a bad week. Trust yours was more funfilled.
Here are some pictures I took at the exposition.
Sounds to me you had an eventful week. My 4th of July weekend was interesting. I visited Chicago and got a tour of the Obamas’ neighborhood. It was both exciting and terrifying to see all the big black SUVs baricade their street. Needless to say, I didn’t dare take a photo. Don’t want to ride being added to the no-fly list lol….
Aside from the trip, my weekend was pretty chill. You and this your car. May the lord bless you with a new one soon! But, it at least help you reach the Island, abi. So, we can’t complain too much sha.
Wishing you a more robust week ahead. See some of my Chicago pictures below…
