Hiya lady…Happy almost last month of the year 2015!
This week has been good, from one event to the other.
Our office, Nigerian Law Publications Limited, had a lecture/seminar and dinner/award event to commemorate the 30th anniversay of the Nigerian Weekly Law Reports on Thursday, 29th October, 2015; pioneered by a great icon, the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi. It was fun and I got to see faces I only come across on my TV screen… Justices, lawyers, dignitaries and top people alike.
On Friday, I won a free ticket via Stella Dimoko-Korkus’ Blog (SDK Blog) to go see a stage play titled Altine’s Wrath. The show was on Sunday, 1st November….couldn’t have got a more interesting vibe to usher me into November.
The play centers on domestic violence and the need for women or men (as the case may be) to speak up and get help, before it is too late as in Altine’s case who died in the end.
When one is pushed to the wall, there is just so much one can take….#SayNoTODomesticViolence
A big thank you to Thespian Family and The Community Voice for letting people see the ills of domestic violence via the play.
